LOCATION
The University/Training Center is located and set up with the technology to Zoom to satellite locations across the region including St. John, Elkhart, Scott City, Garden City, Tribune and Jetmore. Depending on enrollment additional satellite locations can be set up in Southwest Kansas.

Degree programs that are based out of the University/Training Center are comparable to the universities and are offered in multiple communities to allow for individuals to live close to home and their jobs.

RN TO BSN
The RN to BSN cohort program is designed for working RNs in the Southwest Kansas region. The blended mix of in-person and online coursework is designed to be completed in 10 eight week courses over two years. Students have the option of attending the in-person classes at the University/Training Center in Dodge City or in one of our Satellite Classrooms in Elkhart, Garden City, Jetmore, Scott City, St. John, or Tribune. BSW
The BSW cohort program provides an opportunity for students to complete a Bachelor of Social Work degree right here in Dodge City. Classes are completed over a three-year period, after student have completed any required general education courses or earning their associates degree. Students take courses from both core faculty members at FHSU and local professional social workers serving as adjuncts. A full-time cohort coordinator is hired to provide for student recruitment, advisement, and to coordinate the ongoing needs of an offsite location. APPLY NOW
MSW
The Masters of Social Work program at Fort Hays State University provides a high quality, affordable solution to the demand for clinical social workers. The MSW program specializes in Clinical Social Work and is designed to improve access to health and mental health care for residents in underserved areas. APPLY NOW
Speech Pathology
The Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders provides a broad liberal education as the foundation for entry into professional study of speech, swallowing, language and hearing across the life span. Hands on learning experiences are available to undergraduate students as well.
Students with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders will be prepared for a variety of jobs in educational and medical settings. They'll also be prepared for entry into a graduate program for speech-language pathology or a clinical doctorate program in audiology.
