In today’s diverse workplace, understanding the dynamics between different generations is essential for fostering collaboration, innovation, and productivity. This interactive workshop will explore the unique strengths, values, and communication styles of each generation, from Baby Boomers to Gen Z.

This program will help you develop practical skills and strategies that empower you to navigate generational differences and create a more cohesive, dynamic team. Whether you’re a leader, manager, or team member, this workshop will equip you with the tools to bridge the generational gap and enhance workplace collaboration.

Program Objectives

Participants will engage in discussions and activities that highlight the benefits of a multigenerational workforce. We’ll cover topics such as:

  • Key characteristics and expectations of each generation

  • Strategies for effective communication and conflict resolution

  • Leveraging generational diversity for creative problem-solving

  • Building an organizational culture that values contributions from all age groups

Facilitator

Dr. Kaley Klaus is the Interim Director for Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) at Fort Hays State University (FHSU). She holds a bachelor’s in communication, master’s in organizational leadership, and doctorate in higher education leadership. Prior to her appointment in PCE, she was an assistant professor for leadership at FHSU for nine years, where she taught courses in leadership theory and organizational behavior, assessment, and improvement. Dr. Klaus also currently serves as the president of the Association of Leadership Educators. Her areas of expertise include organizational behavior and systems and leadership development. When not working, Kaley enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as her chihuahua, Lily, and when she gets the opportunity, likes to travel long distances for new food and nature views.
